This is a Permanent Position based in Farnborough.
Working a 5/5/4 shift pattern, 7am – 7pm.

The Role
This role will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and installing metal components and structures on aircraft, ensuring they meet safety and design specifications.
Other duties involve:
– Support Hangar management by performing aircraft structural repair tasks in line with the aircraft repair data provided.
– Installing, repairing, inspecting and replacing sheet metal components.
– Accountable for the safe, on-time delivery of structural repairs.
– Ensure that all repairs meet aviation safety guidelines and safely operate various sheet metal tools.
– Ensure relevant repair documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
– Undertake general mechanic duties/tasks in the absence of sheet metal/structures work.
– Complete detailed documentation of work carried out on aircraft.
– Ensure that all calibrated equipment and tooling is safely stored, calibrated, labelled and recorded.
In order to be successful in this role the will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Have completed an Aeronautical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
– Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of aviation maintenance, including at least 12 months’ practical experience in the specific area.
– Thorough understanding of Part 145 (and company MOE).
– Computer literate including use of Microsoft Office.
– Must be able and willing to undertake general Aviation Mechanic activities.
– Right to live and work in the UK
