JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Birmingham, looking to recruit a new Safety & Compliance Engineer to join their team.
This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications, fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.
This is a Permanent Position based in Birmingham, UK.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Safety & Compliance Manager in all correspondence and meetings with regulatory authorities, internal stake holders and sub contracted organisations on aircraft maintenance matters.
Other Duties Involve
– Assisting the Safety & Compliance Manager in the production and amendment of the MOE and procedures
– Assisting in the development and managing an internal and external audit schedule
– Conducting audits in accordance with organisational compliance manuals and reports, managing findings accordingly
– Conducting audits of the company and its sub-contractors, reviewing of the MOE, compliance management manual and procedures
– Supporting the continuation of approvals by monitoring compliance for the MRP Part 145 and AS9110 approvals
– Preparing quality records as and when required by the Safety & Compliance Manager
– Ensuring that staff records are maintained and catalogued for each job function and assessments for each function is established including basic/initial, type and continuation training
– Assisting in staff authorisations and competency recording
– Maintaining proficiency in and staying updated on regulatory standards such as MAA MRP145, EASA & CAA Part 145, FAA 145 and AS9100, as well as company compliance manuals
In order to be successful in this role the Safety & Compliance Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes
– Experience in the development and implementation of a QMS and QMS policies and procedures
– Experience in compliance auditing and root cause analysis
– Knowledge of safety management systems, human factors, human performance and limitations
– Willing to travel
– Right to live and work in the UK
