JMC Aviation are working with an FBO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new Commercial Executive to join their team.
This client is well known for outstanding levels of service in their FBO facility. As a family run business with multiple decades of experience, they strive for excellence throughout their skilled workforce as they deal with in-house engineering and support services on business jets.
This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted, 0830 – 1700 Monday to Friday.

The Role:
The Commercial Executive plays a vital role in driving business growth by managing customer enquiries, producing accurate and competitive quotations, and supporting sales efforts for aircraft maintenance services. Additionally, the role involves working closely with the invoicing team to ensure precise billing and resolve discrepancies when necessary.
Other duties involve:
– Respond promptly to customer enquiries, producing accurate and competitive quotations for aircraft maintenance services, ensuring all commercial, financial, and technical factors are taken into account.
– Address customer queries on quotations, negotiate pricing, and secure necessary approvals for any discounts from senior management.
– Collaborate with Technical Services and Base Maintenance to generate quotations for additional work requested by customers prior to execution.
– Work closely with third-party organisations to support customer requests and provide tailored quotations.
– Upon acceptance of signed quotations, ensure seamless handover to relevant departments including Technical Services, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customer Support.
– Participate in production and planning meetings, and organise conference calls or on-site customer meetings to maintain clear communication and project coordination
– Maintain an up-to-date quoting proposal register, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all quotes provided.
– Continuously update the sales pipeline and hangar plan to reflect current and future projects.
– Work closely with the invoicing department to review actual costs versus quoted costs, adjusting databases as required.
– Create and maintain databases for pre-purchase inspections, re-registration tasks, and scheduled downtimes to ensure comprehensive and accessible information.
– Regularly update and manage records to streamline processes and maintain operational efficiency.
– Actively seek out new customers and nurture relationships to expand the company’s client base.
– Regularly update the line servicing price guide to stay aligned with current market conditions and ensure competitiveness.
– Provide administrative support to the invoicing team when needed, ensuring that invoices are accurate and any discrepancies are promptly resolved.
Skills and experience required:
In order to be successful in this role the Commercial Executive will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Right to live and work in the UK
– Experience within a similar role desired
– Experience within the Aviation industry preferred
– Strong analytical skills and technical sales experience desired
– Use of Excel and Microsoft packages necessary
