JMC Aviation are working with an FBO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new B2 Licensed Avionics Supervisor to join their team.

This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted, working on a 5/5/4 shift pattern, 0700-1900

The Role:
The B2 Licensed Avionics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to day aircraft maintenance activities. This role includes ensuring the certification of all maintenance tasks is conducted in accordance with the current certification privileges. The role requires adherence to the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.
Other duties involve:
– Lead and manage a team of avionics engineers for Base maintenance inputs/projects. Perform appraisals and handle line management responsibilities.
– Provide technical expertise and support to Engineering and Estimating teams, particularly in relation to SB and Modification assessments
– Ensure effective management of C5 approval and efficient operation of the Battery Bay
– Communicate daily progress reports and coordinate with hangar management on project status, manpower requirements, and critical path management.
– Work with support services for spare parts procurement, repair, and technical information; authorise repair requests and manage high-cost spares
– Ensure compliance with all relevant company and Health & Safety procedures. Oversee quality control of work cards for timely final release to service
– Maintain communication with customer representatives and respond to their requests during check inputs.
– Seek and implement operational improvements to maximise productivity and reduce costs
– Perform additional tasks as directed by the Head of Maintenance or Accountable Manager.
Skills and experience required:
In order to be successful in this role the B2 Licensed Avionics Supervisor will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage resources effectively.
– Full unrestricted B2 licence with electrical privileges and one of the following type ratings:

ERJ170/190
EMB135/145
EMB505 (Phenom 300)
EMB500 (Phenom 100)
BD700 (Global Express)
EMB545/550 (Praetor 500/600)
Bomb CL600- 2B16 (Challenger 604/605)
– Recognised apprenticeship in the aviation industry.
– Experience in managing teams in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
– Advanced written and oral communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
– Experience with DOA/Part 21 (desirable)
