JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based in Malta, looking to recruit a new Shift Leader to join their team.
This company is a Global leader in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, providing MRO services for narrowbody aircraft such as A320s and B737s. Known for high quality expertise, this company emphasises innovation, safety and customer satisfaction.
This is a Permanent Position based in Malta.
40 hours per week, working a 4 on/ 3 off day shift rota.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to manage all shift activities and responsibilities, ensuring efficient use of manpower and activities contribute to the continued airworthiness of the based aircraft
Other duties involve:
– To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained, and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual.
– Lead assigned team as per Bay Manager advice (resources).
– Dispatch available resources to achieve milestone’s plan targets.
– Review project KPIs and take necessary corrective actions (if needed).
– Review completion of checklists (Shift Leader, Sections) and take corrective actions if needed.
– Perform 5S walk through each section and in the assigned office.
– Perform quality spot checks on removed parts (tagging, storage, protection) and current work.
– Review Matrix system and ensure on time update.
– Provide clear status of whole aircraft maintenance check to the Bay Manager. Highlight any issue related to but no limited to safety, quality, resources, parts, check progress.
– Perform “Compliance Standards Checklist” on work being performed at least 1 time per week.
– Prepare and provide the Daily Ground Time Reports (DGR).
– Completion of CRS at the end of the Maintenance check.
– Manage Vacation Leaves and short-term absence (BH) for the ongoing maintenance check.
Skills and experience required.
In order to be successful in this role the Shift Leader will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Supervisory and/or managerial experience
– A current EASA Part 66 B1/B2 Licence (typed on A320)
– Base Maintenance Experience
– Extensive experience working in a Part 145 Base Maintenance Organisation.
– Be eligible for a C-Certifying authorisation
– Fluency in English language.
– Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA Part 145, Part 147, Part 66, Part 21, Part M).
Must have the following documents:
– EASA B1/B2 License (type rated with A320)
– Initial Human Factors
– Initial Fuel Tank Safety
– Initial EWIS
– Human factors refresher (if possible)
– Fuel Tank Safety refresher (if possible)
– EWIS refresher (if possible)
– Experience Log
