JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Luton, looking to recruit a new Planning Engineer to join their team.
This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in Luton.
Monday – Friday, working 40 hours per week.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to generate and control aircraft maintenance work packages, ensuring regulatory compliance at all times
Other Duties Involve
– Generating and issuing comprehensive maintenance packages of work for production staff in accordance with relevant regulatory airworthiness requirements and departmental procedures
– Creating and maintaining master work cards/databases where required for specific projects, identifying sub-contract requirements, spares and tooling
– Liaising with internal departments and external customers, as deemed necessary to provide clear and concise work instructions
– Scheduling maintenance work ahead for predetermined customers
– Completing an allocation board to capture all the aircraft planned for the next shift
– Assisting the Planning Manager with daily operation where support may be required
– Liaising with Safety and Compliance to ensure compliance with procedures and audits
– Assisting with the promotion of compliance and safety issues within the company
In order to be successful in this role the Planning Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes
– Experience working in aircraft maintenance, production planning or airline environment
– Technical experience in aviation and able to demonstrate knowledge of airworthiness regulation
– Have a working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Planning
– Experience in MRO IT software, such as AMOS, OASES or Rusada desirable
– High standard of English language (written and oral)
– High standard of computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office Suite
– Knowledge of programs used in daily office administration functions such as Word and Excel
– Ability to handle confidential information
– Right to work in the UK
