JMC Aviation are working with an international cargo company based in Bournemouth, looking to recruit a new Engine Workshop Manager to join their team.
This client is known as the worlds only A340-600F operator, providing unique cargo solutions along with a unique P2F conversion. This is a Permanent Position based in Bournemouth, working full-time, Monday- Friday.

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to complete a full inventory check, manage the engine shop capabilities and liaise with engine shop providers.
Other Duties:
– Completing a full inventory check as required
– Monitoring technical records and life cycles as required
– Liaising with OEM’s and engineers as necessary
– Liaising with engine shop providers as necessary
– Manage shop staff as required
– Completing component checks as needed
– Documenting findings for repair or replacement parts.
– Ensuring overhaul procedures comply with OEM guidelines and regulatory standards.
– Conducting loading and unloading procedures to ensure safety and prevent damage to the engine.
– Using appropriate rigging and lifting techniques to handle the engine safely.
– Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines during the transportation process, including securing the engine and using safety gear.
– Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on each engine.
– Conduct safety inspections of tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
– Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
– Prepare engines for installation onto aircraft, ensuring all components are correctly configured.
– Collaborate with installation teams to ensure a smooth integration into the aircraft

Skills and experience required:
In order to be successful, the Engine Workshop Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Experience with engine disassembly and Inspection
– Documenting findings for repair or replacement parts.
– Competent with component repair and replacement and for engine accessories.
– Experience in Engine Overhaul that include replacing major components and reassembling the engine.
– Have an understanding of the needs for on wing testing and calibration, functional tests on engines and components using specialized testing equipment.
