JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Prestwick, looking to recruit a new Document Controller to join their team.
This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in Prestwick.
Working Monday – Thursday (08:00 – 17:00) and Friday (08:00 – 14:30). This will then move to a 5/5/4 day shift once training is completed.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure Continuing Airworthiness requirements are always met for all aircraft in maintenance throughout the company.
Other Duties Involve
– Collating all technical records, work cards and airworthiness paperwork associated with all maintenance of aircraft
– Assuring that all applicable completed aircraft maintenance documentation is accurate
– On receipt of completed cards, review for any omissions and progressively update the internal system to reflect work card status
– Collating and scan all completed aircraft documentation and upload to customer specified location and arranging despatch of all original paperwork
– Ensuring all completed scanned documentation is archived
– Updating customer maintenance tracking to ensure that all work carried out including component replacements is accurately recorded
– Assisting the Planning Department with work package compilation prior to aircraft arrival to ensure all maintenance data is present and accurate
– Performing daily meetings and produce production reports to communicate aircraft maintenance status
– Assisting the Engineering Support Manager with the daily operation of the planning department and supporting the day to day Production operation queries
– Providing support to the Commercial and Base Maintenance Managers in ensuring that all man hour bookings are correct and hours booked to job cards reflect the work carried out
– Liaising with Safety and Compliance to ensure compliance with procedures and audits.
In order to be successful in this role the Document Controller will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Experience in MRO IT software, such as AMOS, OASES, Rusada etc (preferred but not essential)
– Proven ability to work well as part of a team and proven track record in a fast-paced environment.
