JMC Aviation are working with an FBO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new CAD/CAM Programmer to join their team.      
     
This client is well known for outstanding levels of service in their FBO facility. As a family run business with multiple decades of experience, they strive for excellence throughout their skilled workforce as they deal with in-house engineering and support services on business jets.      
         
This is a Permanent position based in Stansted working 40 hours a week Monday- Friday.          
         
Salary and Benefits        
         
– Minimum of £50,000        
– 195 hours holiday increasing with 5 years service + bank holidays + holiday buy back/ unpaid leave scheme  
– Overtime 1.5 hourly rate

The Role        
         
Reporting to the Shop Manager the CAD/ CAM Programmer will produce 3 and 5 axis CNC programs. Carryout programming duties for NPI and improving existing jobs, within a facility utilising thirty-five CNC machine tools and lathes.        
         
The responsibilities of the CAD/ CAM Programmer will involve:        
         
– Produce 3 and 5 axis CNC programs with supporting documentation        
– Produce 3D model data from 2D drawings        
– Plan and program machining methods for components        
– Complete setting sheets        
– Design tooling/fixtures to aid the efficient manufacture of precision parts        
– Strive to improve cutting and manufacturing times on previously completed requirements.        
         
The successful Programmer will have the following attributes:        
         
– Proven experience of Offline CAD Programming (3 years +)        
– Experience of programming complex parts on 5-axis machines          
– Proven practical experience of working within an engineering environment          
– Ability to read engineering drawings        
– Excellent communication skills        
– Ability to problem solve        
– Experience in LEAN manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement        
– Experienced with HyperMill and/ or Vericut
