Assistant Engineering Manager

JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based in Southend, looking to recruit a new Assistant Engineering Manager to join their team.

 

This client is a leading MRO which have been operating for over 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and helping their employees progress within their roles. They offer in-house component repair, overhaul and maintenance of a range of aircraft types.

 

This is a Permanent Position based in Southend.
Working Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to advance component repair and overhaul capabilities, ensuring technical facilities and capabilities support current commitments and new customer requirements.  

 

Other duties involve:

– Work across various trades to ensure the smooth completion of production tasks.

– Provide technical support and guidance for new repair processes and resolve existing production difficulties.

– Assist with scheduling necessary remedial works and liaise with contractors for site and building maintenance.

 

Skills and experience required.

In order to be successful in this role the Assistant Engineering Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

– Hands-on engineering experience within an aerospace repair facility.

– Hold appropriate component repair approvals.

– Experience in project management with strong communication, teamwork, self-initiative, and problem-solving skills.

– Strong awareness of QA requirements within component repair.

– Full Clean UK Driving Licence

– Full UK Right to Work
